Brass on Ivory is a new group in SoCal presenting great music from multiple genres, melding the best of jazz, standards, some pop and blues... and including innovative arrangements with classical music. See our site at www.BrassOnIvory.com. Our sound centers around Trumpet & Piano/Keyboards. Think of a smoky, old Paris basement jazz club where players also had studied at the conservatory. You have timeless standards—material covered by such as Diana Krall, Eva Cassidy, Chet Baker, Chris Botti, Tony Bennett, Ray Brown, all the greats. Plus occasionally we introduce classical music into the mix. It's sophisticated, absorbing for musicians to hear, intriguing for everyone, beautiful and enjoyable. Much of our music is well known, some is rarely heard, all is artfully crafted to render a memorable experience for audiences of any age and musical background.
We bring the greatest music, as you've always wished to hear it. |

Solo Piano or Piano Combo Miles performs solo on piano creating arrangements suitable for centerpiece staging or ambience. We can add guitar or bass or other members as we desire for just right mix.

Duo, Trio, and Quartet We can present a simple duo of trumpet & piano, up to combo including guitar, bass, drums, sax, vocals. On trumpet I cultivate a distinctive sound: a rich, velvety, airy, mellow, a cultured tone soft enough to blend with volume of acoustic piano.
Our man on piano (+keyboard/synth) is Tom Reich, a versatile, experienced pro who handles contemporary music as well as classical literature. We offer a variety of styles and draw material from Classic Jazz, Standards, Show Music, Pop, and Blues, even Classical Concert pieces to create a rich musical experience for our audience. |
